Flickt is my senior capstone project and was completed Spring 2020 during a remote learning course Recently, we have all gotten a taste of working from home. However, this trend of people working from home has been increasing for decades and will surely continue to rise. At the same time, the average apartment size is becoming smaller, causing difficulties for people working from home who must make their living spaces double as their work spaces, often blurring the lines between work and home life and increasing feelings of stress while at home. Flickt is a transforming work station that lets you put your work away at the end of the day and transform your home office back into your living space. The process of transforming Flickt from a seemingly standard cabinet to an office offers you the same ritual sensation you may get from routines such as getting dressed, making coffee and driving in morning traffic, but without all the car horns.
